Using BOXED: app, troubleshooting & contacting support

Which devices and browsers BOXED runs on, how to fix common loading and display problems yourself, and the two ways to reach a person on the BOXED team.

This article covers the three things players most often ask about using BOXED day to day: which devices and platforms BOXED runs on, how to fix common loading or display problems yourself, and how to reach a person on our team when you need one.

Summary

BOXED runs in any modern web browser on desktop or mobile at boxed.gg, and there is an Android app. There is no iOS app, so iPhone and iPad players should use a mobile browser, which gives access to every feature with nothing missing. If the site is misbehaving, work through the troubleshooting steps below: refresh, update your browser, clear cache and cookies, disable ad blockers and VPNs, and try a different browser. Our team is reachable through in-app chat and by email at support@boxed.gg. There is no phone line, so those two channels are the ones to use.

Where you can use BOXED

BOXED is a browser-based platform, and the browser version is the complete experience. Everything works there: opening boxes, Box Battles, the Marketplace, the Exchange, Binders, withdrawals, and account settings. Around three quarters of BOXED players are on a mobile device, so the site is built and tested with phone screens firmly in mind.

  • Desktop browser. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Brave are all supported. Keep your browser updated to its current version.

  • Mobile browser. BOXED is built to work on a phone screen, and this is how most of our players use it.

  • Android app. Available for Android devices if you prefer an app to a browser tab.

  • iOS. There is no iOS app. On an iPhone or iPad you can use BOXED in full by opening boxed.gg in Safari or another mobile browser, since nothing is missing from the browser version.

If you want a more app-like experience on iOS, you can add boxed.gg to your home screen from the Safari share menu, which gives you a one-tap icon that opens the site directly and hides the browser chrome.

Where BOXED is not available

BOXED is not available at all in Michigan, Washington, Louisiana, and South Carolina. This is a complete platform block rather than a restriction on one payment method, so there is no alternative route into the platform from those states. If you see a region message elsewhere, or a specific action is refused, see Regional availability and "action not permitted" errors, which lists what is and is not available where.

Fixing common loading and display problems

Most display problems come down to a stale cache, an out-of-date browser, an extension blocking part of the page, or an interrupted connection. If you see a blank screen, a blurry or misaligned layout, an overlay that will not close, or pages that will not load, work through these in order:

  1. Refresh the page. A hard refresh clears more: press Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac.

  2. Update your browser to the latest version, then restart it fully.

  3. Clear your cache and cookies for boxed.gg specifically, then log in again.

  4. Disable ad blockers and script or privacy blockers, which are the single most common cause of parts of the page failing to load.

  5. Turn off any VPN or proxy. These can slow or break connections and can also trigger regional availability errors.

  6. Try a different browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Brave. If the problem disappears in a second browser, the first browser's cache or one of its extensions is the cause.

  7. Check your internet connection, and if you are on mobile data, try Wi-Fi instead.

If you are on the Android app and something looks wrong, check for an app update in the Play Store first, then force-close and reopen the app. If the issue persists, opening the site in a mobile browser is a quick way to confirm whether the problem sits with the app or with your account.

Problems that are not display issues

Some issues look like a site fault but have their own dedicated fix. Before troubleshooting your browser, check whether one of these applies:

How to reach our team

There are two channels for reaching us, and both go to the same team.

  • In-app chat. Open the chat widget from within BOXED or from this help centre. The chat starts with our automated assistant, which can answer most questions instantly and pull up the right article. If you would rather talk to a person, please ask to speak to a human and our team will pick the conversation up from there.

  • Email: support@boxed.gg. This is the better channel for anything that needs attachments, such as photos of a damaged card or a receipt, and for longer explanations. Send from the email address on your BOXED account so we can match your message to it.

There is no phone support at BOXED. Anyone claiming to offer a BOXED support phone number is not us, so please do not share account details or payment information with them.

What to include so we can help faster

Whichever channel you use, including these details up front usually removes an entire round of back-and-forth:

  • The email address on your BOXED account.

  • A clear description of what you were doing and what happened instead.

  • The exact wording of any error message.

  • A screenshot or a short screen recording.

  • Your device, browser, and browser version, or the Android app version.

  • For an order or transaction, the relevant order or transaction reference.

Please do not send your password, your full card number, or any 2FA code. Our team will never ask you for any of these, and anyone who does is not us.

Common questions

Is there a BOXED mobile app?

There is a BOXED app for Android. There is no iOS app, so on an iPhone or iPad you should open boxed.gg in Safari or another mobile browser, which gives you the complete BOXED experience with no features missing.

How do I use BOXED on an iPhone?

You use BOXED on an iPhone through a mobile browser at boxed.gg. Everything works there, and you can add the site to your home screen from the Safari share menu if you want an app-style icon to launch it.

Is there a phone number I can call?

There is no phone line for BOXED. Our team is reachable through the in-app chat and by email at support@boxed.gg, and both channels reach the same people.

How do I talk to a real person instead of the chat assistant?

To reach a person, open the in-app chat and ask to speak to a human. Your conversation will be passed to our team and you can carry on in the same chat thread. Emailing support@boxed.gg also reaches our team directly.

The site looks broken or will not load. What should I try?

If the site looks broken or will not load, hard refresh the page, update and restart your browser, clear your cache and cookies for boxed.gg, disable ad blockers and any VPN, and try a different browser. If a second browser works normally, the original browser's cache or one of its extensions is the cause. If none of that helps, please ask to speak to a human and our team will look into it, and include your browser, its version, and a screenshot.

Which browsers work with BOXED?

BOXED works in all modern browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and Brave, on both desktop and mobile. Keeping your browser on its current version is the single most effective way to avoid display problems.

Can I use BOXED from Michigan, Washington, Louisiana, or South Carolina?

BOXED is not available in Michigan, Washington, Louisiana, or South Carolina. The block covers the whole platform rather than a single payment method, so there is no workaround available for accounts in those states.

How long will it take to get a reply?

Reply times vary with how busy the queue is, and the in-app chat is usually the quicker of the two channels because the automated assistant can resolve many questions immediately. Sending a complete description with screenshots the first time is the most reliable way to get a fast resolution, since it saves a round of follow-up questions.
