Completed a mission, survey, or offer but the gems have not appeared? This article explains how crediting works, how long each type takes, what commonly blocks credit, and exactly where to raise a claim when credit never arrives.
Quick summary
Missions, surveys, and offers on BOXED are supplied by RevU (Revenue Universe), a third-party offer wall. RevU tracks your completion with the advertiser and then instructs BOXED to add the gems, so timing and eligibility decisions happen on RevU's side rather than ours. Each mission publishes its own expected credit window in its description, and surveys typically credit within 24 to 48 hours. Because RevU is a third party holding the tracking data, BOXED cannot directly grant mission credit, and disputes are raised with RevU through the Missions Status link.
How mission, survey, and offer credit works
The missions and offers you see on BOXED come from RevU, an external offer wall provider. The chain looks like this: you complete an offer, the advertiser reports the completion to RevU, RevU validates it, and RevU then instructs BOXED to add the gems to your balance.
Two practical consequences follow from that structure:
Credit is rarely instant, because there are two handoffs between you finishing and the gems landing.
Whether an offer counts as completed is determined by RevU and the advertiser, based on the tracking they recorded at the time. BOXED does not see the offer completion directly and holds no record of your activity with the advertiser.
How long credit takes
Credit timing depends on the individual mission, and every mission publishes its own expected window in its description. Check that description first, because it is the authoritative timing for that specific offer.
Surveys typically credit within 24 to 48 hours. There is no point investigating a survey before the 48 hour mark has passed, because it is still inside the normal window.
App and signup offers vary widely. Offers that require you to keep an app installed, spend a certain amount, or reach a milestone over time run much longer than a simple signup.
Multi-stage missions require every listed stage to be completed before any credit posts. Partial progress does not pay out partial gems, so reaching stage three of five credits nothing until stages four and five are also done.
Things that commonly stop credit
Before raising a claim, it is worth checking the causes we see most often:
Not every stage was finished. This is the most frequent one. Multi-stage missions pay only once all stages are complete, so an incomplete mission looks identical to a missing credit from your side.
The requirements were not met exactly. Offers frequently require a brand-new account with the advertiser, a specific spend, or a milestone reached within a set number of days. An existing account with the advertiser disqualifies a surprising number of offers.
Tracking was blocked. Ad blockers, VPNs, private or incognito windows, and browsers that strip tracking can prevent RevU from recording your completion. If tracking never fired, the completion cannot be reconstructed after the fact.
The offer was started outside BOXED. The offer has to be opened through the offer wall on your account so that the completion is tied to you.
Survey screen-outs. If a survey ends early because you did not match the target audience, it does not pay the full reward.
The window has not elapsed. Re-read the mission description. A mission with a 30 day window is not late on day three.
"The link you have clicked does not permit connections from your IP address"
This error appears most often on Android and is almost always caused by a VPN, or by your IP address changing between opening the offer wall and opening the offer. To resolve it, turn off any VPN or proxy, switch to a single stable connection rather than flipping between mobile data and Wi-Fi, close and reopen the offer wall so the session is re-established from your current IP address, then open the offer again. If you use a browser with built-in tracking protection, disable it for the offer wall as well.
If your credit still has not posted
Confirm the status on your side. Check that the mission or offer shows as complete, and check Account, then Balance History, in case the gems credited without you noticing.
Allow the full published window. Re-read the mission description and wait out the stated period. For surveys, that means waiting a full 48 hours.
Gather your evidence. Take screenshots of the offer requirements, your completion or confirmation screen, and any confirmation email or receipt from the advertiser. Note the date and time you completed it, along with your BOXED username.
Raise the claim with RevU through the Missions Status link. Open the missions section on BOXED and use the Missions Status link to submit your claim to RevU with the evidence you gathered. RevU holds the tracking data, so they are the only party able to verify a missing completion and release the credit.
If you cannot locate the Missions Status link, please ask to speak to a human and our team will point you to the right place.
Because RevU is a third party, BOXED cannot directly grant mission credit. That is a genuine limitation rather than a brush-off: we hold no record of your activity with the advertiser, so there is nothing on our side to verify a claim against. RevU does hold that record, which is why the claim goes to them and why they are able to resolve it.
Common questions
How long until my mission credits?
How long a mission takes to credit depends on the mission itself, and each one shows its expected window in its own description. Check that description before doing anything else, because it is the timing that actually applies to your offer. Surveys are the exception with a consistent window of 24 to 48 hours.
I finished a survey but got no gems. What should I do?
If you finished a survey and no gems have arrived, allow a full 24 to 48 hours first, because that is the normal crediting window for surveys and there is nothing to investigate before it passes. If the survey ended early because you did not match the target audience, it will not pay the full reward. If 48 hours have passed and the survey completed properly, raise a claim with RevU through the Missions Status link.
The offer did not credit. Can BOXED add the gems?
BOXED cannot directly add gems for an offer that RevU did not credit, because RevU is a third party and we hold no record of your activity with the advertiser. What you can do is raise a claim directly with RevU using the Missions Status link in the missions section, including screenshots of your completion, any confirmation email from the advertiser, the date and time you completed it, and your BOXED username. RevU holds the tracking data and can release the credit.
Who is RevU?
RevU, short for Revenue Universe, is the third-party offer wall provider that supplies the missions, surveys, and offers available on BOXED. RevU tracks completions with the advertisers and tells BOXED when to add your gems, which is why timing, eligibility, and disputes are all handled on their side.
My multi-stage mission has completed some stages. Where are those gems?
Multi-stage missions do not pay out stage by stage. Every listed stage has to be complete before any credit posts, so partial progress credits nothing yet. Finish the remaining stages within the mission's stated window and the full reward will credit together.
Does an ad blocker or VPN affect whether I get credit?
Yes, ad blockers, VPNs, and private or incognito browsing can all stop the offer provider from recording your completion, and an unrecorded completion cannot be verified later. A VPN is also the usual cause of the "link does not permit connections from your IP address" error. Turn them off for the full duration of an offer so that your progress is tracked properly.
Where do I check whether the gems arrived?
You can check whether gems arrived under Account, then Balance History, which lists every credit with a timestamp. For a full overview of how gems work across the site, see gems: the complete guide.
Are gem drops and gift codes affected by this too?
No, gem drops and gift codes are not affected. They are issued by BOXED directly and credit straight to your balance without going through RevU, so if one of those has not arrived it is a separate issue with a different fix. See gem vouchers, gift codes and free gems and site chat and gem drops.
Do I need to verify my account to earn mission gems?
Missions themselves do not require verification, but some of the things you may want to do with the gems afterwards do. Gem drops require completed identity verification (KYC), and site chat requires phone verification.
