Exchange lets you swap an item you already own for a different item of similar value. If you pulled something you are not interested in, Exchange is a way to turn it into something you would rather have without selling it back and buying again.

Exchange and the Marketplace are two separate features and it is worth knowing which one you need. Exchange is a direct item-for-item swap inside your own inventory. The Marketplace is where you trade inventory items for graded slabs or CS2 skins. They have different eligibility rules, so an item that cannot be used in one may still be usable in the other.

Because you can put multiple items on each side, Exchange also works for consolidating several smaller items into one larger one, or for splitting one larger item into several smaller ones, as long as the totals line up in value.

Exchange applies a variable fee on the receive side of the swap. It is not a flat charge: the amount depends on the swap you are making, so it is worth reviewing the figures shown in Exchange before you confirm rather than assuming a previous swap's fee will apply again.

The two sides of an Exchange rarely match to the exact gem. If the items you receive come out worth slightly less than the items you offered, the excess value is returned to you as gems in your balance. This happens automatically as part of the swap, so there is nothing to claim separately.

If the items you want to receive are worth more than what you are offering, the Exchange will not balance. In that case you can add another item to your offer side, or choose a different item to receive.

Exchange has a weekly swap allowance that scales with your subscription tier:

Your remaining swaps for the current week are shown inside Exchange. The allowance resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC, so if you have used all of your swaps you can either wait for the Monday reset or move to a higher tier for a larger weekly allowance. Unused swaps do not roll over. Each Monday your allowance is set back to your tier's full amount regardless of how many you used the week before.

Three categories are disabled in Exchange:

You cannot trade in for items in these categories, so they are not available to select on the receive side of a swap. Items you already own in these categories remain fully usable, and you have several other ways to move on from one:

You have used your weekly allowance. It resets on Monday at 00:00 UTC. If you need more swaps per week, a higher subscription tier increases the allowance.

Check whether it belongs to one of the disabled categories, which are Lorcana, Counter-Strike and Sports. Items in those categories cannot be traded in for. If the item is in another category and still does not appear, refresh the page or restart the app, since inventory views can lag briefly. If it is still missing, please ask to speak to a human and our team will look into it.

This usually means the two sides are not close enough in value, or you have exceeded the 50-item cap on one side. Adjust the items on either side and try again.
