Binders are a profile feature that let you showcase the cards you've pulled on BOXED. Other players can view your Binders when they visit your profile. You start with one Binder unlocked for all players, and two more unlock as you reach higher BOXED levels.
TL;DR
Every player starts with one Binder, which holds up to 24 cards. You can customize the Binder's name, graphic and color, and description. Cards you pulled from boxes, battles, vending machines, or other in-game experiences are eligible. Cards acquired through the Exchange or Marketplace are not. A second Binder unlocks at BOXED level 25, and a third unlocks at BOXED level 40, for a total of three.
How to create and edit a Binder
You manage Binders from your own profile. Open your profile, find the Binders section, and you can:
Select up to 24 cards from your inventory to include in the Binder
Set the Binder's name
Choose the graphic and color
Add a description or sub-title
Changes save to your profile right away and other players will see the updated Binder the next time they view your profile.
What you can customize on a Binder
Each Binder has three customization options. Use them to give the Binder a theme that reflects your collection.
Option | What it does |
Name | The title of the Binder, shown at the top |
Graphic and color | The visual style of the Binder |
Description / sub-title | A short line of context, shown under the Binder name |
Which cards can I add to a Binder
Binders accept the same cards that are eligible to appear as profile highlights. The rule is based on how you acquired the card.
Cards you can add to a Binder:
Cards pulled from boxes
Cards won in battles
Cards from vending machines
Cards from any other in-game experience
Cards you cannot add to a Binder:
Cards acquired through the Exchange
Cards purchased on the Marketplace
If a card is eligible for your profile highlights, it is also eligible for your Binders. If the card does not appear in the Binder selection list, this acquisition rule is the reason.
How many Binders can I have
Each player can currently have up to three Binders. The first Binder is unlocked for everyone. The other two unlock as you progress through BOXED levels.
Binder | Unlocks at |
Binder 1 | All players (unlocked by default) |
Binder 2 | BOXED level 25 |
Binder 3 | BOXED level 40 |
Your BOXED level is based on the XP you earn from playing on the site. Your current level is visible on your profile.
Common questions
Why can't I add a card to my Binder?
The most common reason a card cannot be added to a Binder is that the card was acquired through the Exchange or the Marketplace. Only cards from boxes, battles, vending machines, or other in-game experiences are eligible for Binders. If the card does not appear in the selection list, this is almost always why.
How do I unlock my second or third Binder?
Reach BOXED level 25 to unlock a second Binder, and BOXED level 40 to unlock a third. The unlock happens automatically the moment you reach that level. There is no claim step.
Can other players see my Binders?
Yes. Binders are part of your public profile and any player who visits your profile can see them. If you would prefer your profile to be hidden, you can turn on Anonymous Mode in your account settings. Anonymous Mode hides your profile, including Binders, from other players across most surfaces on the site.
Can I change the cards in a Binder after I create it?
Yes. You can edit any Binder at any time. You can add cards, remove cards you no longer want to display, and re-theme the Binder (name, graphic, description) whenever you like.
Can I have more than 24 cards in one Binder?
No. Each Binder holds up to 24 cards. If you want to display more cards, fill multiple Binders once they are unlocked.
Will the Binder limits change in the future?
Binders are a new feature and we plan to keep improving them. The 3-Binder limit, the 24-card cap, and the level requirements may change in future updates. We will announce changes through our usual channels.
My Binder is not saving my changes. What should I do?
If a Binder is not saving your customization or the cards you are adding, first try a hard refresh of the page (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) and sign in again. If the Binder still does not save after a refresh, please ask to speak to a human and our team will look into it.
